The very high price of having it done by professionals and the relatively small number of shops doing this near my home, is why I chose to DIY my PPF.

I got PPF from a combination of online comments mentioning Tesla's questionable paint quality and reliability, seeing friends having their Tesla's paint virtually ruined after only four years, and the fact that I live in Canada where we use lots of road abrasives during the winter.

As we all know, Tesla paint is soft. I was concerned for rock chips and such. So applying PPF on my Tesla paint ensured that my paint would look great all the time while protecting it from road debris that might hit the car. I have used PPF on many of my cars. I like to save money and I love a DIY project, I believe if I can do it, anyone can do it. As long as you follow Drive Protected instructions, you should not have any issues. First of all I would like to say thank you for great products
I want to get PPF on my model Y because my sister and brother have ppf on there Tesla and how it save the paint from rocks chips etc
So I want to do the same to mine
I did not install the ppf on my y my brother did on mine I just help on the process
I would say the most challenging piece is the from bumper
I’m sure that other can tackle the installation of PPf there is a lots of videos on YouTube nowadays
I enjoy the most about the process is that how much time and passion you put in, it took us almost 2 days
For the installation and how it turn out at the end just beautiful
I feel a lots safer on the road don’t have to worry about get rock chips or other flying debris

I purchased my first new car 4 years ago. I remember how excited I was to finally drive a new car out of the lot.
